Coffee.org to build a new online coffee store and wholesale coffee distribution center.Bill and Jammie McClure acquired the domain from Thomas Weinstein of South Kona, Hawaii a few weeks ago. Wienstein, an organic Kona coffee farmer on the Big Island of Hawaii acquired the domain four years ago for $ 4,000. "I could have replaced my old clunker farm truck with that money. My friends treated me as though I’d jumped off a cliff with an umbrella as my parachute, because that was all of my savings at the time, now they think my parachute had wings." Thomas recalls.Needless to say, there have been offers from companies wanting to buy Coffee.org, and others who want to be sure no one else can. A few early offers were easy to resist. On Tuesday, Sedo.com, a big player in domain name brokerage and sales, emailed Thomas to say they had an offer of $100,000. That was to be a potent brew. Weinstein thought an internet Goliath had made the offer. However, it was Bill McClure, originally from the small farming town of Sentinel, Oklahoma. Before the deal closed, Weinstein had another offer for $ 200,000 from another buyer. He had made a deal with McClure and stayed with his promise. McClure says he will reward Weinstein for his integrity. McClure is not new to the internet industry. He had a strategy to acquire the domain, not as a speculator but with a real business plan in mind. He has quietly assembled over 1,500 hundred coffee domains over the past year. He also currently owns over 5,000 internet domains in a variety of industries including www.GasPrices.net . Put in your zip code and find the lowest price gasoline in your neighborhood. McClure’s team updates the gas prices for over 82,000 stations every day. A few of his former internet investments have included FlowersDirect.com, EFlowers.com and TrafficStrategies.com. The McClure family Coffee organization "Coffee.org" will build an international gourmet beverage distribution network serving several aspects of the coffee and beverage industry. A few of the food and beverage domains Mr. McClure has recently acquired in the coffee Industry include: BusinessCoffee.com (Office and business markets), AmericasBestCoffee.com, (Consumer markets) HotelCoffee.com, (Hotel Industry), MissEllies.com, Arabica.net, WholesaleCoffee.net, BlackCoffee.net, Coffee-Club.com, CoffeeDecaf.com, GrinderCoffee.com, DiscountCoffeeMachines.com, SugarSupplier.com, DietVitaminWater.com, DietProtienBars.com and CheapestCoffee.com to name a few of the new sites. Coffee is the second largest traded commodity, next to oil and has grown from $8 billion in sales in 2001 to over $ 13 billion today. Coffee is the 2nd most popular beverage in the world (next to water). Studies show that throughout the world, people consume more than 330 million cups of coffee each and every day. This makes black coffee the most popular drink after water and even beats tea as people’s favorite drink. A recent study showed coffee is good for the heart. McClure states, "I believe the coffee consumption in the United States and Europe still has a lot of growth opportunity. "We respect the great coffee roasters such as Folgers and other major coffee suppliers." Many major retailers such as McDonalds have recently announced gourmet coffee products, Dunkin' Donuts and Walmart recently announced a joint marketing venture. Coffee.org will serve both home and business delivery. We look for businesses with a continuity opportunity and large consumer consumption. The world coffee and energy drink industries certainly meet these criteria. A few of the brands Coffee.org will distribute are going to be Starbucks, Timothy’s, Emeril’s, Shocker, Joffrey’s, Folgers, Bunn, and Miss-Ellies coffee line. Miss-Ellies is named after one of McClure’s daughters, Ellie Glidewell. Ellie will be the managing partner of Coffee.org. She is a graduate of University of Arkansas, Fort Smith and taught school before joining the coffee venture. Ellie is married to Nick Glidewell, whose family has been in the food distribution business for 62 years. Nick and his family will be Ellie's mentor and assure the distribution center will be a success. Miss-Ellies will feature a gourmet line of coffee with a southern flair. "Timing is everything" says McClure. "With the rising price of gasoline, tighter wallets and people trying to save money, consumers and businesses will welcome an opportunity to buy their favorite gourmet coffee, latte and energy drinks online at lower prices. We have teamed up with several major coffee bean growers, roasters, coffee machine manufactures and energy drink manufactures throughout the world to provide our customers with the finest beverages right at their doorstep. "Remember it is in the Coffee organization…. www.Coffee.ORG. McClure encourages coffee and equipment suppliers who may want to be a part of Coffee.org’s elite product line to contact them through Contact Us |
